The UK’s tech ecosystem is booming! The 2018 Tech Nation Report looked not only at impact of the tech sector on a national scale, but also at a number of high-growth areas across the country. Take a look at the infographic below for highlights from this year’s report.
The continued growth of the sector, which is fundamental in driving economic growth, can be largely attributed to the sharp rise in digital innovations and tech companies. One such example is Halpenfield Ltd, a software development company that specialises in organising, analysing and visualising data. This enables its clients to fully understand their customers and make the best business decisions possible. It is because of their innovative work in this field that they maintain their position as industry leaders, regularly working with large UK companies like M&S, Boots and Thomas Cook.
To see the UK tech sector continue to drive innovation and compete on a global scale is incredibly exciting. However, it’s even more impressive to see Milton Keynes, as a region, and the home of MPA, experience such a huge increase in digital start up births since 2016. This significant increase is something we’ve witnessed with the businesses we are working with. In the last 12 months, we’ve seen a 38% increase in tech R&D tax credit claims; the single biggest growth across any of the sectors we operate in.Mike Price, Director at MPA Group
