MPA Group are delighted to partner with the Nottinghamshire Manufacturing Network (NMN) to support the continued growth of the Manufacturing sector in the East Midlands.
Who are the NMN?
Established in 2014, the NMN is a trusted peer-to-peer membership organisation consisting of a diverse range of manufacturing businesses. The network has expanded substantially and now represents nearly 2,000 managing directors, business owners, industry specialists and interns and apprentices based in the East Midlands. The network unites local companies and enables members to harness the cross-industry, business, engineering and manufacturing knowledge necessary to evolve and expand. At the heart of the NMN is a firm belief in the strong future for UK manufacturing.
Why the NMN?
The East Midlands region is traditionally recognised for its strong manufacturing industries such as Transport Equipment and Food & Drink. As well as having many long-established and highly successful companies in the region, there The Government is investing heavily in the food manufacturing sector, the space sector, and streamlining the usual barriers for businesses looking to set-up within new industrial zones.
We share the aim of supporting the growth of the manufacturing industries in the East Midlands, a vital component of the UK’s future economic success. MPA Group recognise innovation as a key driver for growth, and our partnership with the NMN provides their members with the opportunity to benefit from HMRC concessions designed to support and encourage innovation. Our manufacturing analysts and tax specialists are experts in maximising the benefit businesses received through the R&D tax credit scheme and Patent Box relief.
Manufacturing businesses have for centuries been a prominent feature of the economy of Nottingham and the East Midlands. There are currently favourable conditions for businesses in the region, especially SMEs, with Government backing. This partnership supports the NMN in encouraging businesses to take advantage of these growth opportunities through innovation, while developing the UK manufacturing sector as a whole.Tony Cassidy, Partnership Development Consultant at MPA Group
